What is Silvi made from?

Silk
Our silk products are made from 22 Momme 100% Mulberry silk (6A, the highest possible grading). The silk is treated with anti-bacterial silver ions, reducing bacteria by 99.7%.


Plant-based silk

Our plant-based silk is made of 100% 400TC bamboo lyocell, which is derived from pure bamboo pulp, a renewable plant source.

What skin issues does Silvi help with?

Silvi naturally kills acne-causing bacteria and will help prevent:

  • Breakouts (pimples)
  • Dry or oily skin
  • Blackheads & whiteheads

The benefits of silk also:

  • Improve skin's collagen retention
  • Help regulate skin's oil

What are 'acne-causing' bacteria?

Great question! Silvi's Silver Ion Technology works to eliminate two primary types of bacteria, Cutibacterium acnes (C. acnes) [1] and Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) [2]


Both of these bacteria have been linked to acne vulgaris (common acne), which causes pimples, inflamed skin, clogged pores, red papules and nodes. [3] [4]

Where is it made?

Silvi is spun, woven and sewn in China in an ethically certified factory (Oeko-Tex®).

Has Silvi’s antibacterial properties been certified?

Yes. The antibacterial properties have successfully passed testing by SGS, the world's leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.

Can silver be harmful to me or the environment?

Our silver ion treatment has no short or long-term harmful effects on either you or the environment.

Is it ethically made and not tested on animals?

Yes, all our products are ethically made (Oeko-Tex® certified) and are not tested on animals.

Is it hypoallergenic?

Yep, Silvi is hypoallergenic and made for sensitive skin.

Is it safe during pregnancy?

You'll be glad to know that our silver ion treatment is completely safe as its topical and not ingested. Our fabrics have also been independently tested by certified labs for efficacy and safety.

How long does the silver treatment last?

The treatment will be maximally effective (killing 99%+ bacteria) for at least 18 months, after which there will be a gradual decline.

How big is the pillowcase?

Washing & Care

Do I wash Silvi before first use?

Yes, although not entirely necessary (nothing bad will happen if you don’t!). It’s always best practice to give clothes and bedding a wash before use.

How do I wash it?

  • Machine delicate wash or hand wash (cold setting)
  • Use pH neutral detergent
  • Do not bleach, tumble dry or dry clean (no trichloroethylene)
  • Iron low heat

How often do I wash Silvi?

To make your Silvi last, we recommend washing every 10-14 days (yep, silver keeps your case cleaner for longer).

What skincare/acne products should I avoid?

To maintain the integrity of the pillowcase, we recommend avoiding any products that contain the following ingredients:

  • Benzoyl peroxide
  • Alpha hydroxy acids
  • Chlorine bleach

How to clean orange stains?

How to Remove Orange Stains


1. Presoak for 15 min (put the stained item in warm water before laundering it) in a solution of:

  • 1 litre of warm water
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid dishwashing or laundry detergent
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar

2. Rinse well with water and launder immediately after presoaking

International shipping is calculated at checkout but usually around $15 if you spend under $100, otherwise, it's free.

What are my payment options?

What's your money-back guarantee?

We know some things take time, that's why we offer a 100 night trial. If for any reason you're not loving your Silvi, even after 100 days, send it back for a full refund + return postage.


Note: This is not applicable for colour exchanges.

I've changed my mind about a colour. Can I exchange it?

We do not accept free exchanges for different colours once your item has shipped. 


To request an exchange:


1) Purchase our nominal $5 exchange fee to cover postage from us to you: https://au.mysilvi.com/products/exchange-fee


2) Send an email to hi@mysilvi.com with your exchange fee order number AND the original order number, along with details of the exchange.


3) Post your original order back unopened and undamaged (our support staff will give you our return address). You will be responsible for paying return shipping.


4) Once we receive the returned item, we'll dispatch your new order within 48 hours.
